Echelon Quantitative Inc. – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does Echelon do?
Echelon Quantitative is a NYC-based fintech delivering real-time intraday NAV for the $29 trillion US mutual fund market. Our xNAV platform estimates fund NAV every minute using a proprietary quantitative model — no holdings disclosure required from the funds. We also provide an attribution layer that explains why a fund's NAV moved in real time.

Why is real-time NAV important?
Mutual funds price once a day at 4pm. That means portfolio managers, advisors, and investors have no visibility into where their fund is trading during market hours. xNAV closes that gap — giving you a continuous intraday estimate so you can monitor risk, manage client expectations, and act before the close.

Who uses xNAV?
xNAV is built for data platforms, RIA firms, wealth managers, portfolio managers, and institutional investors who hold or track mutual funds. Individual investors can access 25 funds for free at xnav.live. Premium and enterprise tiers are available for broader coverage and API access.

How does xNAV estimate fund NAV?
We use a proprietary machine learning and macro-financial model that continuously updates throughout the trading day. Our methodology requires no real-time holdings disclosure from funds — making it frictionless to deploy at scale.

What is the attribution layer?
The attribution layer explains why a fund's xNAV moved at any given moment — linking NAV changes to specific risk drivers, factor exposures, and macroeconomic events. It also surfaces pricing anomalies and deviations before the official close. Attribution is available as a premium enterprise feature.

How many funds does xNAV cover?
We currently cover 300+ US mutual funds with full US universe coverage coming soon. Canadian mutual fund coverage is on our roadmap.

How is xNAV delivered?
xNAV is accessible via our live platform at xnav.live, Excel, or direct API integration. Enterprise clients can embed xNAV data directly into their existing platforms and workflows.

What are the pricing tiers?
xNAV offers three tiers. Free access covers 25 funds with live pricing at xnav.live. Premium unlocks 350+ funds and historical data. Enterprise pricing is custom and includes API access, attribution, and white-label options for platforms and institutions.

Is xNAV only for large institutions?
No. Individual investors and advisors can access xNAV for free at xnav.live. Premium and enterprise tiers scale to the needs of RIA firms, data platforms, and institutional clients of any size.

Where is Echelon based?
We are headquartered in New York City with our engineering team in Toronto. Our infrastructure is hosted in secure cloud environments with enterprise-grade uptime and privacy standards.
